Guten Tag Herr Erber,
ich selber war bisher noch nie in Grönland, habe mich jedoch bis zu einem gewissen Grade mit seiner Geschichte, dem heutigen Alltagsleben und den Zukunftsaussichten beschäftigt, auch habe ich vielleicht einen oberflächlichen Eindruck von der Wirtschaft des Landes. Ich habe zwei Artikel über öffentliche Stadtbusverkehre in Grönland in Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht, meist über Nuuk (Nuup Bussii A/S, mit der Gesellschaft stehe ich in unregelmässigem aber freundlichem fb Kontakt.). Das Katuaq Kulturzentrum ist mir ein Begriff, ebenso das Nuuk Center, wohl das einzige Einkaufszentrum in Grönland, auch die Supermarktketten Pisiffik und Brugsen. Wie gesagt, ich interessiere mich für das Alltagsleben, die dortige Natur ist mir eher gleichgültig.
Soviel ich weiss – oder zu wissen glaube – ist die allgemeine Situation der Innuits ziemlich mies; ebenso stellt die Landflucht besonders jüngerer, gut ausgebildeter Menschen nach Südgrönland, meist Nuuk und Qeqqata (Sisimiut) für das Land ein Problem dar, zu Lasten vieler abgelegener nördlicher Regionen. Wie mir von Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq mitgeteiilt wurde, wird anvisiert, dass Nuuk von jetzt 18.000 auf 30.000 Einwohner anwachsen könnte, das wären über die Hälfte aller Grönländer. Und dann ist da neuerdings ja noch das rege Interesse ausländischer Akteure an der Erschliessung von Bodenschätzen wie Öl, Gas und Mineralien. Das kann einen tollen (und wohl auch notwendigen) Aufschwung für das Land bedeuten; allerdings vorausgesetzt, die Regierung verhält sich klug und weise, und behält die hierbei einhergehenden umweltmässigen und sozialen Auswirkungen und Verwerfungen scharf im Auge.
Für Ergänzungen und konstruktive Kritik meiner Eindrücke wäre ich Ihnen dankbar.

Andreas and I have been in touch of friendship for 30 years. He is a wonderful person, in fact a gift from God to me. He has a nice personality, with a wide range of hobbies like travels photography ( so professional as you might see from the works on the website),human rights, international affairs and politics. We share many things in common. Just imagine he is from Germany. I am from mainland China. Yet time tells everything and time also tests everything; we develop such a close tie that only a few months ago he even helps to act as my personal recommender for studies with a Bible institute in the USA, for which I feel gateful for ever.
I cannot thank you enough, Andreas, for being a true friend!
